Program 
The Darnell Brown Community Development Corporation has worked very hard to be able to provide temporary housing and supportive services to women, and a safe haven for their minor children, 8 years old and under, during their transition period.
The DBCDC program provides services to women 18 and older. Length of stay is 12 months with extended services up to 18 months, and depending on varying  circumstance up to 24 months.
Services
24-hour supervision; random drug testing; group, individual, & family sessions; substance abuse education; relapse prevention; life skills/job skills training; spiritual awareness; 12-step orientation & support; parenting classes; continuing education; nutrition & safety; legal rights/issues; referral/community resources; renting/credit maintenance/homeownership
Governance
The DBCDC is governored and run by a panel of elected officers and board members that meet at regular scheduled intervals.
